JOY2 represents a important step forward in terms of sonic reproduction, still in a compact format. A huge development work has been implemented on each part of the speaker, in order to get rid of every piece of « hifi sound », and let only the music go trough. JOY2 brings you closer than ever to the emotions and feeling of the acoustic live music.
Compact speaker, intense experience
Despite the compact format, JOY2 easily fills the space in the 3 dimensions, with a naturally unstrained panorama, well beyond it’s dimensions may suggest. The presence, the density, the liveliness, and the level of energy delivered involves you deeply into the music. The shallow slope in the low frequencies range allows exceptional readability, richness and deepness, for a gorgeous musical experience.
Totally new design
The design has been totally reconsidered. An extensive work has been made on the cabinet design : new materials, new geometry (internal & external). Internal geometry has been finely tuned to suppress internal resonance modes. The front panel is machined to minimize diffraction effects in the midrange area. Internal damping has been adapted, and quantity of damping material diminished by 65 %. Internal volume increases by 1 liter and the port has been finely tuned.
Optimized crossover
Based on the Evo crossover (born on our flagship PF2 Signature), the schematics is adapted to the new specifications and to the greater sensibility vs JOY Evo. Specific treatment against microphonic effects has also been implemented. Compared to JOY Evo, the range of components has also made a step upwards.
Sophisticated finish
The NEL EVO range is available with a selection of original metallic colors, coated with a matte varnish. As a result we got a both classy and timeless finish.
Music !
JOY2 impresses by the evidence and naturalness of the music. The presence of artists is intense, highly believable, with realistic dynamics and liveliness, without any trace of stress or agressivity. JOY2 literally disappears to give all the space to music, giving you full access to the atmosphere, to the interpretation, to the space around instruments. Far from analytical listening, you’re invited to enjoy the music, without any perception of the technology.
